Scott Jason Paintin, 34 formerly of this area died November 19, 2009, in Niles, Michigan where he has resided.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Oxford Chapel of Gay & Ciha Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com.
Scott was born April 13, 1975, in Iowa City. Following graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He has been living in Niles, MI working as a security officer at a local hospital.
His family includes his parents, Renee Martin and Fred Harroun; grandmothers, Ellen Paintin and Alice Martin; brother, Sam Harroun; sisters, Joslynn Harroun and Kimberly Ash; adopted children, Bradlee, Chelsea, and Jennifer Barker; and his wife, Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carl Paintin and Lavelle Martin; step-father, Kerry Martin, and uncles, Dan Kalvig and Terry Martin.
