What is an Online Condolence that I see in the obituaries these days?
It is a way to send a note to the family, through the funeral home's website, of someone who has died. Typically, there are two forms of these notes. One form is sent and received in an open guestbook format. This note can be read by anyone that visits that obituary on the website. The other format is one that is sent and goes into a private folder for that family. Only the family has access to it. Not all funeral homes offer online condolences, and those that do have different formats that are used.
