What is this "Celebration of Life Services" that I am seeing more and more in the obituaries?
Simply put, it is a service acknowledging the life of the person who has died. Like any service at the time of a death, it should be one that allows for the sharing of the deceased life through their faith, stories, memories, pictures, videos, and memorabilia. It needs to be of comfort to the family and friends that survive, and the first step in dealing with life without that special person. Call it Celebration of Life, Funeral Service, Memorial Service, Mass of Christian Burial, etc. whatever it is called, it is good to have.
